Frank Heavey Frank Heavey considers running the Boston Marathon for Expect Miracles Foundation an incredible honor. As the Foundation’s Executive Director, he gets to see first-hand the impact of generous supporters. Having lost both parents to cancer and having his mother-in-law and his wife survive cancer, he is deeply motivated to help others by advancing the mission of Expect Miracles Foundation to fund life-saving cancer research. Frank ran the Boston Marathon in 2018 so he’s hoping the weather will be a bit nicer in 2019. |

Matt Mackay Matt Mackay is very excited to run the Boston Marathon for Expect Miracles Foundation. He is the President of the NYC YPEM leadership team and has been a member since its start in 2016. Both of his parents are cancer survivors and he has lost many family members to the disease. This makes the research that Expect Miracles Foundation supports so important to him. This will be Matt’s fifth marathon and his first time running Boston. While he ran competitively in college Matt will tell you those days are long behind him. |

THE CAUSE
Breakthroughs in targeted therapies. Support for families impacted by cancer in their daily lives. That’s our focus. And that’s your focus when you run for the Expect Miracles Foundation Boston Marathon Team. The proceeds raised through your fundraising efforts will benefit cancer research and support the heart of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s revolutionary research and development model, the Robert and Renée Belfer Center for Applied Cancer Science. The Belfer Center addresses key challenges in cancer treatments by leveraging DFCI discoveries and applying them to drug discovery and development.
Already have a number? Email Jaime Waldecker at jwaldecker@expectmiraclesfoundation.org to join the team without a fundraising minimum! Make your marathon experience more meaningful by making a difference in the fight against cancer.
