At last month's Expect Miracles in Manhattan event at Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City, Expect Miracles Foundation presented several awards to a few of its most dedicated supporters.
Allison Saloy from Neuberger Berman was awarded the Judy Award. Named in honor of Judy Strauss, the original Expect Miracles Foundation volunteer, the Judy Award is given to the individual who best demonstrates Judy's altruism while generously volunteering their time and energy for the good of the Foundation. Given Allison’s creativity and ambition around the Peloton Corporate Challenge, the Foundation was delighted to recognize her.
The Lonnie Award, named in honor of the late Lon Macdonald, was given to John Pavese from New York Life— his efforts and generosity on behalf of the Foundation have exemplified the humble, yet determined spirit of Lon. In the past year and beyond, he has embodied Lon’s legacy of altruism and continues to be a pillar of charity in the community.
The Expect Miracles Award, the highest award given, is presented to an individual who goes above and beyond to donate or raise significant funds for Expect Miracles Foundation in support of the cancer community. This year, the Foundation was proud to honor Margaret Flynn-Martin from Morgan Stanley for all of her outstanding contributions.
Lastly, the Foundation Award was given to Thom Jones, Head of Strategic Relations, and Scott Brady, Head of US Product Development and Strategy at Columbia Threadneedle Investments for their exemplary commitment to Expect Miracles Foundation. With pride, they've led the financial industry in support of the cancer community—the Foundation is grateful to them as well as Columbia Threadneedle Investments for their continued philanthropy.
Expect Miracles Foundation is incredibly appreciative of each of its supporters and is continually impressed and humbled by their commitment, dedication, and diligence. Their efforts are integral to creating impact in the cancer community, both today and tomorrow.
